Paul SchieleI had previously wind/storm damage that was repaired in not a very good manner. Partly because at the time, my insurance company only allowed for replacement of damaged roof shingles. the different color shingles stood out like a sore thumb. Anton Washington, from Chesapeake Remodeling Group stopped by one day and offered to help me get my roof repaired correctly (when the roof was installed by the new home builder they did not do a very good job). We told me some things about dealing with homeowners insurance company and offered to assist in getting a new claim submitted. He was with me every step of the way. Kept in touch. Bottom line, the insurance company approved both the original claim estimate and suplemental claim estimate. New roof is being installed, can't wait. Very happy with Anton and Chesapeake Remodeling Group.Review of CRG Roofing and Siding in Butler MD by Paul Schiele

However shingle repair work is simply the pointer of the iceberg. Consider the subtle threat of flashing repair: the metal strips around chimneys, vents, and skylights that prevent water from leaking in. A small space or rust spot here can cause a dripping headache. It's like fixing a dripping faucet-- small, however important.

Then, there's the matter of roofing system patching. In some cases, a section of your roofing system has suffered damage-- whether from a fallen branch or an unforeseen hailstorm. Quick patching can stop minor issues from progressing into full-blown catastrophes. It's the equivalent of a band-aid for your roof.

  • Shingle replacement-- switching out damaged shingles
  • Flashing repair work-- sealing metal joints and edges
  • Roof patching-- covering holes and cracks
  • Gutter repair work-- making sure water drains pipes away correctly
  • Sealant application-- enhancing weak points with water resistant coverings

Ever questioned why some roofing systems appear to recuperate easily after a storm, while others droop and fall apart? It typically boils down to timely and exact repair work. Think of your roof as a shield; a guard with a chip can still secure, but only for so long.
